JnJ is officially JnJ with baby NOVA!

This post is for those of you begging me to blog....this could be the one and only of the year so enjoy!!

On Oct. 3, 2011 our sweet little Novalee Foster was born at 6:51 pm, weighing in at 6lb 14oz and 19 inches long. She has dark curly hair and cute long feet and fingers. When she smiles she just melts Jeff and I. She is such a good happy baby and is already sleeping pretty well at nights. My due date was Oct. 12 so Nova came a bit early but in perfect timing for dad to not miss any important tests or even any classes. We are enjoying being parents to this sweet little girl and love her so much!
Nova had her first photo shoot last Saturday. My friend Jaime in St. George took some great photos and Nova was so good the entire time. We can't wait to get the rest of the pictures back because there are so many good ones!

Nova loves her rubber ducky and will stare at it the whole time contently while we bath her!
Lindsey Torres: You wanted to see my pregnant belly and I never posted any so here they are: This picture was taken on our anniversary at 30 weeks pregnant. Jeff and I road biked 45 miles at the north rim grand canyon. It was so much fun and celebrating our fifth anniversary that way was a blast!
I need to take blogging 101 or else need to get more patience because I couldn't get this picture to the top, but this is our first family photo. I think Jeffs smile says it all of how happy we are!
This is the baby shower just a week and a half before Nova was born. I was terrible and didn't take any official belly pictures but here is the best picture I could find of the pregnant belly.
Its amazing that from to look at this photo and think that in just nine months Nova developed healthy and is here in our arms. We are so thankful for this new addition to our family and love her to pieces!

Cedar City Half Marathon

This weekend was the first annual Cedar City half marathon. Erin and I have been running all summer in the mornings and decided to challenge ourselves by this course! The course was beautiful and I loved/hated the downhill. It started 10 miles up Cedar canyon and we ran a lot of downhill. I wish I would have trained more for this race but I have to admit this summer has been more dedicated to biking. Carrie took a gold medal for her age group and had an amazing pace. Erin did awesome for her first half marathon and I finished. My total time was 1:50 and my pace was 8:29. I love being outdoors and running with friends. Thanks Erin and Carrie for being those friends! And most of all, thanks Jeff for being the biggest fan there. Love ya!

Labor Day/Lake Powell

For the Labor Day weekend I got to go with the Hunt family to Lake Powell. Jeff is taking some pretty serious classes so he stayed home and studied. Lake Powell was awesome and I even learned how to jump the wake. As I sit here writing this I still feel like I am on a boat though! We missed the Ware family reunion and missed being with family. Thanks to the Hunts for the fun vacation, I had such a god time and love boating/skiing/Lake Powell.

Summer

I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by! The past few weeks we have been very busy with Jeffs sisters wedding, 7 peaks, family reunions, Jack Johnson and just this past week the Desperado Duel!

Jennifer got married on Aug. 11 in the Salt Lake Temple to Micah Gogan. We are so excited to have Micah in our family. Her wedding was beautiful and so was she!

. We went to the Jack Johnson concert with our friends Nicole and Tyler. The concert was awesome but I have to say it attracted a different group! Almost everyone around us were drinking their boos and as soon as the lights went off everyone started smokin...somethin that smelled sweet.?! We had such a good time with Tyler and Nicole and is always nice to have such good friends to be with.

We have a FHE group that we are part of and last Monday was our friends Lou Swanks birthday. Jeff made her some pizza cakes...isn't he such a good baker?!

This past weekend was the desperado duel in Panguitch. It was a 106 mile bike ride that went from Panguitch, to Bryce, to Kingston, Circleville, and back into Panguitch. Unfortunately I don't have any good pictures but...I promise it was a good time! My brother in law also rode in the race and helped me get my bike new lubed and ready to go. (Thanks Kirk!) The bike ride was beautiful until the last 30 miles when the wind was blazing and there was a slight uphill grade. I finished the race and am still pretty sore as I sit to write this ;) Jeff went hiking Kannarraville falls while I rode b/c it is not a good spectators sport!

School has started but I just wanted to post some of the fun things we have done in the past month.

Fathers Day/Couponing

For Fathers day we went to Monroe b/c it was my Dads birthday, fathers day and my cousin Jason returned from his mission. We had a good time in Monroe with a bbq, tennis matches and dutch oven. I am so thankful for my husband who is my best friend. I know that he isn't a "father" yet but I know as soon as we have kids he is going to be such a good daddy. As for my dad, I am so happy to have such a great home, church and life leader as a father. Dad has been such a great loving example in so many ways. Jeffs dad, my father in law is also one of the best father in laws you could ask for. He has so many good qualities and I am thankful to add him to my father list! Jeff, Dad, Papa Fos I love you, hope you had a great day!

As for the couponing, I am an official addict!! I LOVE IT! My husband thinks I'm nuts but I get a high off this and its like a game!!! For example: The first picture was purchased at walgreens for 3$ + they gave me 11 dollars in walgreen dollars. The picture below was from Smiths, the total was 140$ and I got it all for 40$. This purchase from Smiths is exciting b/c most of the stuff I got was all "NEEDS" or staples like butter, sugar, paper towels, etc.

Moab

For memorial day we went to Moab with Jeffs brother and his wife Albert and Alisha. We went hiking, mtn biking, hiking, golfing and ate awesome food that Albert and Alisha made. It was our first time mountain biking and I must say I pretty much loved it! (Although I still like road biking more) Albert took us to the petrified forest where petrified trees are layered in the rock. It was so much fun going with people who knew Moab so well, especially b/c it was my first time experiencing Moab. We had such a good time and will for sure be going back to have more fun sometime! Thanks Albert and Alisha for the fun trip!
